Go – How to get remainder of two numbers in go

Here, We will learn how to get remainder of two numbers in go. We can get it by using Mod() function in math package in go golang.

Function prototype:

func Mod(x, y float64) float64

Return value:

Mod() function in math package returns 
the floating-point remainder of x/y.

Example with code:

package main

import (
  "fmt"
  "math"
)

func main() {

  no := math.Mod(1.2, 3)
  fmt.Println(no)

  no = math.Mod(2.3, 1)
  fmt.Println(no)

  no = math.Mod(0.0, -3)
  fmt.Println(no)

  no = math.Mod(-2.9, 10)
  fmt.Println(no)
}

Output:

1.2
0.2999999999999998
0
-2.9
