Go – How to get the binary logarithm of number in go

Here, We will learn how to get the binary logarithm of number in go. We can get it by using Log2() function in math package in go golang.

Function prototype:

func Log2(num float64) float64

Return value:

Log2() function in math package returns
the binary logarithm of num.

Example with code:

import (
  "fmt"
  "math"
)

func main() {

  no := math.Log2(1.2)
  fmt.Println(no)

  no = math.Log2(2.3)
  fmt.Println(no)

  no = math.Log2(0.0)
  fmt.Println(no)

  no = math.Log2(-2.9)
  fmt.Println(no)
}

Output:

0.2630344058337938
1.2016338611696504
-Inf
NaN
